Privacy notice

This notice explains the personal data BrightPath holds and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible

BrightPath AI Tuition Ltd, 1 Example Street, London EC1A 1AA, United Kingdom. Company number 00000000. Data protection registration ZA000000. Contact hello@brightpath.example.

What we collect about parents

Your email address, an optional display name, your household name, subscription status and a log of account actions (for example creating a child or ending learner mode).

What we collect about children

A first name, school year, target stage and study preferences, plus their learning activity: answers, marks, mastery estimates, study plans and tutor conversation transcripts. Learner PINs are stored only as a salted hash. We do not ask for a child's address, school name, photograph or date of birth.

Why we can use it

We process parent data to perform our contract with you. Children's learning data is processed on the basis of the consent you give as their parent or guardian when you create their profile, which you may withdraw at any time by deleting the child profile.

The voice tutor and AI processing

Tutor messages are sent to an AI model provider to generate a reply, and both sides of the conversation are stored so you can read them. Messages are not used to train third-party models, and the tutor is instructed to decline requests for personal information.

How long we keep it

Learning records are retained for 24 months after your last activity, then deleted. Deleting a child profile removes their learning records. Financial records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your household's data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Email hello@brightpath.example and we will respond within one month.
