Safety

Safeguarding built into the product, not bolted on

BrightPath is designed so that an adult is always accountable for a child's account and can see everything the child does.

  1. Adults hold the account

Children never register themselves and never hold an email login. A parent creates each child profile and sets the PIN that unlocks learner mode.

  2. We collect as little as possible

For each child we store a first name, school year and target stage. No address, no photograph, no school name is required.

  3. Learner mode is a locked space

In learner mode a child cannot see billing, siblings, guardian details or account settings. Leaving learner mode requires the parent's password.

  4. Tutor conversations are moderated and visible

The voice tutor refuses off-topic, unsafe or personal-information requests, flags concerning messages for review, and every transcript is available to you.

  5. Licensing is recorded, not assumed

Past-paper questions are published only against a source with a recorded licence reference. Unlicensed sources stay hidden from children.

Honest limitations

  • The tutor can explain a method and mark most answers, but it can be wrong.
  • It is not a replacement for a teacher, a school, or a diagnosis of a learning need.
  • Extended written answers receive guidance, not an official exam grade.
  • We publish no success statistics or testimonials we cannot evidence.

Raising a concern

If something a child saw or was told worries you, email safeguarding@brightpath.example or call +44 20 7946 0000 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm UK time). We review flagged tutor messages and account activity, and we will tell you what we found.

Data protection registration ZA000000. Records are retained for 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner — see the privacy notice.
